The mechanical machining plant is situated in central Italy and takes advantage of being located in a particularly industrialised region where a quite diversified number of companies have contributed through time to establish and to spread out a modern culture in mechanical engineering.
That means that today Sampingranaggi can take advantage of:
• a logistics network of local companies including everything from foundries to manufacturing service companies to engineering companies,
• a suitable source of skilled personnel to meet all company needs.
Sampingranaggi mission is:
• to supply customers with components in cast iron, light alloys or steel, fully machined from raw materials supplied either by the customers themselves or procured locally by Sampingranaggi.
Priority is:
• to ensure quality in terms of full conformity to the customers requirements, so that machined parts can be used without incoming checks at customer’s premises.
Aim is:
• to obtain customer satisfaction through skill, commitment and performance outstanding levels.
Two MCM Flexible Machining Systems, one equipped with a 10 pallet rotary shuttle, the other with 24 pallets and a transpallet shuttle, are the core of the plant.
Duly served and monitored by skilled operators all along the day shifts, they can run unmanned overnight, just managed by previously set programme of priorities and protected by fail safe monitoring facilities.
This capacity allows a great freedom in scheduling jobs, so as to serve more customers simultaneously and just in time.
A variety of CNC machines like lathes and grinding machines, arranged in cells, complete the manufacturing facilities.
A 3-D measuring equipment, ergonomically located, offers effective support to post-process control.
Quality, flexibility and productivity are the priorities of Sampingranaggi personnel who are dedicated to the management of the manufacturing resources.
An advanced engineering of the clamping fixtures is a key factor in terms of productivity and quality.
A rigid frame, designed to accommodate parts compactly, may significantly contribute to increase the share of time spent on the chip removal process.
It also affects ergonomics while emptying and refilling the fixtures, thus reducing the man-time dedicated to such operations, allowing human resources to be concentrated on process monitoring and post-process controls.
The engineering of the part clamping fixtures used on Sampingranaggi machines is developed internally, by our specialists, who can avail themselves of modern 3D CAD-CAM facilities.
